I love that you are already thinking proactively about optimizing your results!

The general guideline we follow at Labiaplasty Center of Los Angeles is to wait a minimum of six to eight weeks after labiaplasty before beginning ThermiVa treatments. This ensures that your surgical incisions have fully healed and your intimate tissues are in the right condition to respond well to radiofrequency energy. Beginning ThermiVa too soon after surgery could interfere with the healing process, so patience during that recovery window is important.

Once you have been cleared at your follow-up, ThermiVa can be a wonderful complement to your surgical results – both externally and internally. Externally, the radiofrequency energy stimulates collagen production in the labia majora and surrounding tissue, improving tone, texture and overall tightness. Internally, it works to rejuvenate vaginal tissue, which many patients find beneficial for comfort, lubrication and overall intimate health. The two approaches – surgical and non-surgical – work beautifully together, addressing different layers and aspects of intimate wellness in a way that neither can fully achieve alone.

The standard ThermiVa protocol is a series of three sessions spaced approximately one month apart, followed by annual maintenance treatments to sustain your results. Many patients find that beginning this series after their surgical healing is complete gives them an added layer of refinement they are really pleased with.

The most important thing is to not rush it. Let your body heal fully first – and then you can talk about timing your ThermiVa series at your post-operative appointment.

I’d Prefer a More Tucked-in Appearance

"I'm very uncomfortable in tight pants, bathing suits - even some underwear. What's the best approach for labiaplasty? I want an "innie" - where all the tissue is "tucked in," and for the darker part of the skin to be removed. Can I get this procedure at 18 years old?"

Effects of Androgens

"After using androgens, my clitoris has become too large and looks like a small penis. I started treatment for vaginal laxity. Help!"
